Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for graduate students with interests and knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and working with people with ASD. 

 

  • Graduate students will be responsible for assisting the program with daily workflow as well as: 
    • Working directly with students to develop strategies/plans to meet their goals in the areas of: Executive Functioning, Self-Advocacy, Social Interactions, Independence, and Employment/Career Preparation. 
    • Assist with Planning and running group sessions
    • Assisting with resource materials for students 
    • Data Collection and Report generation

 

Qualifications & Requirements: 

  • Full-time or part-time Graduate Students at West Chester University.
  • Must have knowledge and/or experience in the following:
    • Autism
    • West Chester University’s Resources
      • Must commit to 10-20 hours of work and two Saturdays a semester; D-CAP hours are 9-6:30
      • Ability to work on own as well as part of team. 
      • Must be willing to learn more about ASD and effective teaching strategies
      • Must be model students for appropriate social interactions (socially comfortable to lead, interact, and engage with others).
