Professional Testing Center - Job Description
The Professional Testing Center Graduate Assistant (GA) supports the daily operations and initiatives of West Chester University’s Professional Testing Center (PTC). This position offers hands-on experience in student support and organizational management within a professional testing environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with the organization and coordination of Testing Center operations.
- Provide excellent customer service and technical support to testers, staff, and faculty.
- Schedule and register testers, manage check-in and check-out procedures, and ensure compliance with testing protocols.
- Research and assist in planning projects that enhance testing services, accessibility, and efficiency.
- Administer various exams and uphold testing security and integrity standards.
- Collaborate on special projects supporting the Testing Center or the College of Education and Social Work (CESW).
Qualifications:
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general office technology.
- Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and take initiative.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to providing a professional testing experience for all testers.
Assistantship Details:
- 15 hours per week (in-person, on campus).
- Includes tuition coverage for up to 9 graduate credits and a biweekly stipend.
- Flexible scheduling based on Testing Center coverage needs, primarily during the morning hours within 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Candidates must be available to work on campus.
- Preference will be given to candidates available for Summer 2026 and who can commit to the 2026–2028 academic years.
