The Cottrell Entrepreneurship Center at West Chester University is hiring a full time Graduate Assistant (20 hours per week) for academic year Fall 2026-Spring 2027.

Position Summary: The Graduate Assistant will support the Cottrell Center’s mission by assisting with entrepreneurship programming, outreach, event planning, marketing, and administrative operations. This position offers hands-on experience in higher education administration, entrepreneurship ecosystem development, and student engagement while earning a tuition waiver and stipend.

This is a 20 hour per week full-time graduate assistant position at The Cottrell Entrepreneurship Center in the College of Business & Public Management.

Responsibilities include: 

• Completing administrative tasks related to ongoing programs of The Cottrell Entrepreneurship Center.

• Assisting students, faculty and staff with questions related to Cottrell Center programs and services.

• Assisting the Cottrell Center Director with details related to annual events such as Global Entrepreneurship Week, Women’s Entrepreneurship Conference,             Business Idea Challenge, Social Innovation Idea Competition & more.

• Organizing and maintaining the schedule for Cottrell Center coverage.

• Working with the Cottrell Center Undergraduate Assistant(s) on various tasks including the Cottrell Center Monthly Newsletter,               Cottrell Center email lists and databases, Cottrell Center social media & marketing, promotion of Cottrell Center programs and events, & more.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Enrollment in a graduate degree program at West Chester University.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
  • Interest in entrepreneurship, innovation, and student support services.

Preferred

  • Experience with event planning, marketing, or project coordination.
  • Proficiency in Canva, MailChimp, StartUpTree, social media platforms, and student engagement tools.
  • Prior involvement in entrepreneurial activities, student organizations, or community programs.
