Graduate Assistantship - Cottrell Entrepreneurship Center

Cottrell Entrepreneurship Center Graduate Assistant
 
Mission Statement
The Dr. Edwin Cottrell Entrepreneurial Leadership Center fosters entrepreneurship across West Chester University and throughout Chester County by preparing students to contribute to the entrepreneurship ecosystem, providing access to a rich network of entrepreneurship resources and enhancing the startup and growth of new ventures to develop a strong WCU entrepreneurship culture and a vibrant Chester County entrepreneurship ecosystem.
 
This position will be responsible for a broad range of tasks related to the daily operations of The Cottrell Entrepreneurship Center.
This is a 20 hour per week full-time graduate assistant position at The Cottrell Entrepreneurship Center in the College of Business & Public Management.
 
Responsibilities include:
• Completing administrative tasks related to ongoing programs of The Cottrell Entrepreneurship Center.
• Assisting students, faculty and staff with questions related to Cottrell Center programs and services.
• Assisting the Cottrell Center Director with details related to annual events.
             Global Entrepreneurship Week
             Women’s Entrepreneurship Conference
             Business Idea Competition
             Social Innovation Idea Competition
• Organizing and maintaining the schedule for Cottrell Center coverage.
• Working with the Cottrell Center Undergraduate Assistant(s) on various tasks including:
             Cottrell Center Monthly Newsletter
             Cottrell Center email lists and databases
             Cottrell Center social media & marketing
             Promotion of Cottrell Center programs and events
• Assisting the Cottrell Center Executive Director with administrative tasks as needed.
 
Minimum Requirements:
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe software.
• Strong communication skills in oral and written formats.
 • Ability to work on multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
• Basic knowledge of social media marketing.
 
Preferred Qualifications
 • Some experience in coordinating complex projects and events.
• Experience working with Canva and other graphic design tools.
