Graduate Assistant Professional Testing Center

Professional Testing Center Job Description

The graduate assistant (GA) will assist in the development, organization, and management of West Chester University’s Professional Testing Center (PTC). Duties will include but are not limited to: providing information and support to testers, staff, and faculty; scheduling, registering, admitting, and checking out testers; researching and planning for projects in test center; administering tests; collecting and compiling data; and additional ad hoc projects as needed by the PTC or the College of Education and Social Work dean’s office.

The assistantship position requires an individual with:

·      excellent communication skills
·      organization skills
·      time management skills
·      working knowledge of Microsoft
·      a willingness to take initiative
·      knowledge of Pennsylvania educator preparation (preferred, but not required)

This assistantship will be 15 hours a week and include tuition coverage for 9 credits and a biweekly stipend.

Schedules are flexible based on testing center coverage needs and will be discussed on a weekly basis. Center hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. with most coverage being needed in the morning. Candidates who can work Summer 2023 and are willing to make a commitment for the 2023-2025 academic years are preferred.
