Programming Graduate Assistant
Description of Duties: The Programming Graduate Assistant (GA) will assist in coordinating various programs and services for the Center for Trans and Queer Advocacy including but not limited to:
Updating and facilitating pre-existing educational trainings (e.g., Trans Advocacy, From Allyship to Advocacy, Intersectionality in Practice)
Developing and facilitating specialized and requested trainings for a specific audience (e.g. Trans Mental Health Advocacy)
Assisting with Peer Educator development, job training, specialization programs, and task management
Oversee, plan, support, and implement programming initiatives such as the Ram I Am programs and the Queering the Conversation Series
Supporting LGBTQIA+ focused student organization development (as needed/requested)
Support general communications, marketing, visibility and outreach efforts
Provide in-office support for LGBTQIA+ students, faculty, and staff
Assist in the development of manuals, handbooks, presentations and other resource documents
Other duties as assigned

Special Skills or Training Required:
Strong knowledge of LGBTQIA+ content, identities, and experiences
Demonstrated experience and/or desire to work and engage with diverse communities (specifically working with trans and queer communities)
Understanding of social justice and community-specific needs for LGBTQIA+ student populations
Organized and task-focused
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience planning and project managing for large scale programs
Experience managing others in a professional capacity
Great communication skills including for promotion materials, emails, and all other center communications
Demonstrated knowledge of website design and management
Graphic design and/or social media experience
